Anyone in here up for a parade?
The Democratic Party of Lincoln County will run a float in the Fourth of July Parade in Capitan. Help is needed preparing the float.
WE WILL MEET AT 569 W FIFTH STREET (on Hwy 48, across from intersection with Tiger Drive), AT 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM… After we decorate the float, we will line up with the other parade entries and you can ride in or march alongside the trailer. The parade will start at 10am. Afterwards, we will return to where we started to de-construct the float and pick up our cars. We should finish around 12:00 noon.
Please consider making some positive signs affirming Democratic values to display. If interested please email us at dplc4ever@gmail.com or just show up! We look forward to seeing you be part of this yearly event.

Reserve the date: Saturday, June 14, 2025
We are proud to join Women's March, 50501, nokings.org, the local chapter of Indivisible ("RIOT"), and other national groups in a nationwide Day of Defiance on Saturday, June 14, 1pm-3pm, at Country Club Park at the corner of Sudderth and Country Club Drive, Ruidoso. (Please note the time of the rally has been scheduled so as not to interfere with the Farmers' Market happening at Country Club Park from 8am-1pm.)
NO KINGS National Day of Mobilization
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies. We’re taking to the streets nationwide. We’re not gathering to feed his ego, we’re building a movement that leaves him behind. The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. We’re not watching history happen. We’re making it.
